Ibbotson Studios

Ibbotson Studios is the creative outlet of Mike Ibbotson – a gifted landscape architect, illustrator and painter. His commissioned illustrations, in particular, have been used to enrich brand identities and marketing materials for many clients.

Having worked with Mike on many previous projects, 72pt was asked to create a distinctive identity for this personal brand. Our visual treatment utilises the contrast between one of Mike's hand-drawn sketches (denoting his surname's initial) and a sharp edged typeface – conveying a creative yet professional attitude and approach to his business.

More recently, we designed a set of luxurious business cards and exhibition invitations – showcasing some of Mike's beautiful paintings. The exhibition was a success with the sale of many work.
