The National Manuscripts Conservation Trust

The National Manuscripts Conservation Trust (NMCT) was founded in 1990, awarding grants of nearly £3m – enabling the conservation of hundreds of musical, literary, architectural and other vital historical documents that would otherwise have been lost or faced an uncertain future. The NMCT is the only national grant-giver that focuses solely on the care and conservation of manuscripts in the UK.

72pt was commissioned to redesign the charity's Annual Report – reflecting the rich diversity of important manuscript and archive collections in all its libraries, archives and collections up and down the country. With photography and illustrations running across and throughout much of the report, the visual focus lies in the storytelling of the restoration journey and lasting benefits the NMCT grants provide for generations to come.
